| 7/19/2010 8:29:02 AM | Scheduling the Rod and Gun Club Club House: All club use must be scheduled through the House Chairman, Bill Genetti at billgennettijr@yahoo.com Bill will post all scheduled events on this list. If your event is not posted, the club house has not been properly reserved for you. Bill is currently reworking the reservation process to ensure it is consistent with the latest base orders. Once the rework has been approved by the Executive Committee, the process will be posted. Here are some key features of the existing process before rework: - Scheduling must be 1 month in advance. - $100 donation by the scheduler to cover costs of operating. Waived for some activities like Hunter Education specifically within the charter goals of the club. - Club Member must make the reservation, take responsibility for the club, and be present during the event. - Club must be cleaned and arranged according to check-list and inspected by House Chairman after use. The re-work will add liability waivers and anything else now required by MCB orders. |

The Quantico Rod and Gun Club will host the third annual Wounded Veterans picnic on 8 may 2010 from 11 to 5PM. Congressman Wittman will attend along with several other dignitaries. Several Beauty Queens a live band and plenty of food to go around. Fishing lounging and good old fashioned fun. |

We are creating forums that will allow you to interact with each other. This should let everyone communicate directly. Forums are only as good as the participation level. So, please click the Forum button in the left hand pane and register on the forum. Participation in the forums is NOT limited to club members, so if you are interested in recreation at Quantico, join in the fun! |

At the last meeting the club decided to have a Christmas Potluck Party for members and their families on Saturday, December 5 at 6:30. The president said he may hold a short meeting that evening. Turkey and ham will be provided. Please bring your favorite holiday potluck dish and/or a dessert. It's also BYOB. Kay Kramer will BHOB (Bring Her Own Boombox) and a variety of Christmas CD's. If you would like to help decorate for the party, come on out on Friday evening, Dec. 4, around 6:30. Please pass this info on to members you may have contact with who do not have e-mail. |

He will be greatly missed by family and friends. The family invites the members to attend funeral services on Thursday Nov 5th from 11am - 12pm conducted by Mullins and Thompson Funeral Services located at 186 Shelton Shop Road in Stafford. Burial will be at 12:30 in Stafford Memorial Park Cemetery adjacent to the funeral home on Shelton Shop Road. |

Quantico National Cemetery Marie Grace Keefer Scalici, 81 of Callao, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009. Mrs. Scalici was a homemaker and the wife of Dominick A. Scalici. Mrs. Scalici is survived by her husband, Dominick; Two sons, Joseph P. Scalici of Cattlet, VA, and Carl Scalici of Medford, NY; one daughter, Rosemary S. Mackey of Liberty, SC; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Keefer of Staten Island, NY. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at Quantico National Cemetery, with her son in law, Reverend Bo Mackey officiating. He peaceably went to be with the Lord Jesus about 9am Sunday morning, July 5, 2009. We're using Covenant Funeral Service (Stafford Location) and their web address is covenantfuneralservice.com The obituary has yet to be posted; however,here are the arrangements: Friends and Family reception: Thursday, 7/9/09 6-8pm Memorial service: Friday, 7/10/09 10:30am with graveside at noon at Quantico National Cemetery.
